How to adopt animals in Fire Emblem Engage

If you're looking to adopt animals in Fire Emblem Engage, you can do so in between battles. After each battle, you can walk around battlefields, talking to your troops to get Bond Fragments. As well as this, you can talk to locals and pick up extra items off the ground. If you can see animals, you can adopt them.

Adopting some animals requires you to have a good donation level with the region they come from. You can get all this information, as well as which animals are available to adopt, from the animal chart in the bottom-right of the world map before starting the fight.

As well as this, you can get some of the animals in companion pack rewards when increasing your donation level, which is a nice and easy way to get some of the exclusive animals that may rarely appear in their respective regions.

Any animal you choose to adopt will go back to the Somniel, where you can find them in the farm area. You can collect as many types of animals as you like but you can only have a few animals out at a time. Just interact with the barn if you want to swap out your choices.

Animals that are out of the barn will occasionally leave items around, so you should swap out animals regularly to find all that they can drop. They generally drop items relating to their breed, so you'll often find cats dropping fish and cows dropping milk etc.

You can then use these resources to craft weapons, make outfits and cook meals. If you commit to the upkeep of your farm early, you shouldn't have a problem getting all of the game's best things.
