Final Fantasy VI Pixel Remaster Launches This Month on Mobile and Steam

It took a bit longer than most would've liked, but Square Enix has finally revealed the Final Fantasy VI Pixel Remaster release date. Rounding out this collection of retro entries, fans can play Final Fantasy VI Pixel Remaster in two weeks, launching on February 23, 2022, for Steam and mobile.

Confirming the news via Twitter, Square Enix showcased a seven-second clip of the game in action. Anyone who's picked up the Pixel Remaster games knows what to expect, as these feature improved visuals and an often-praised soundtrack.

While Final Fantasy VII is seen as the series’ peak, many fans believe Final Fantasy VI is one of the best entries in the franchise, with some calling it better than Cloud’s story. Released as Final Fantasy III in North America back in the SNES days, Final Fantasy VI was a captivating experience for many thanks to the story and characters.

Final Fantasy VI Pixel Remaster comes out later this month on February 23. The first five games in the Final Fantasy Pixel Remaster series are now available for purchase, also on mobile platforms and Steam.
