Nintendo debuted Fire Emblem Warriors: Three Hopes during the February Nintendo Direct. After some conflicting reports about what Intelligent Systems' next game will bring, it turns out the next Fire Emblem is a sequel... sort of.

Three Hopes is set for release in June 2022, though there's still much uncertainty about what it actually is.

For now, here's everything we've heard about Fire Emblem's next game.

Fire Emblem Warriors: Three Hopes - Latest News

12 April, 2022 -

Nintendo released a second trailer for Fire Emblem Warriors: Three Hopes, revealing that the game will have a new purple-haired protagonist named Shez.

Furthermore, the trailer also teases that Byleth could be the main villain in Three Hopes, though there is a chance that this is being done to catch players off guard before the real antagonist is revealed. Players will be able to choose the gender for Shez and Byleth.

Fire Emblem Warriors: Three Hopes has now been rated by the Australian Classification Board. The new Musou game has been given an 'M' rating for Mature, and further details reveal that the game will contain "fantasy themes, violence and online interactivity."

Three Hopes might not be the only Fire Emblem releasing this year. According to Emily Rodgers on Famiboards, a second Fire Emblem title is currently being developed by Intelligent Systems.

The February Nintendo Direct revealed Fire Emblem Warriors: Three Hopes with a lengthy new trailer, but raised more questions than it answers. We see the three house leaders engaging in combat not with each other or against recognizable enemies, and Nintendo is only calling it a "new story" set in the Three Houses universe. Whether this is a retelling of Three Houses or perhaps a "golden route" that provides a happier ending for everyone involved, we'll have to wait and see.

But not too long. Fire Emblem Warriors: Three Hopes releases for Nintendo Switch on June 24, 2022. Check out the trailer below:

8 February 2022 -

Nintendo has confirmed a new Direct presentation airs tomorrow on February 9. Scheduled to kick off at 2pm PT / 5pm ET / 10PM GMT / 11pm CET, that's expected to last for "roughly 40 minutes," focus on Switch games launching "in the first half of 2022."

2 February, 2022 -

A leaker has claimed we could see Fire Emblem news coming from a Nintendo Direct this month. This isn't the first time we've heard rumblings of a new Nintendo Direct presentation coming in February; and now, Zippo - who correctly predicted Persona 4 Arena Ultimax's re-release - advised a new Direct could happen as soon as next week.

While Zippo states they're "not sure of the content at this point in time," they believed this would feature Kirby And The Forgotten Land, Splatoon 3, Advance Wars 1+2, Mario Kart 9, and a new Xenoblade game.

5 July, 2021 -

Reputable leaker Zippo has claimed that a Fire Emblem remake is in the works, though not the Tellius Series as claimed back in April. Claiming it's unclear which game this relates to, some believed it could be a Genealogy of the Holy War or The Binding Blade remake.

12 April, 2021 -

According to reliable Fire Emblem leaker Thanibomb, Fire Emblem: Path of Radiance and Radiant Dawn - which stars Super Smash Bros. favourite Ike - may get remade for Nintendo Switch.
