Following speculation regarding Project Spartacus, Sony has finally lifted the lid on its overhaul plans for PlayStation Plus. Arriving this June, that crucially merged PS Plus with PS Now into one package.
That's split into three tiers, starting with Essential, which is what Plus subscribers currently get. Costing £6.99 monthly / £19.99 quarterly / £49.99 yearly, that includes "two monthly downloadable games, exclusive discounts, cloud storage for saved games, and online multiplayer access."

Next up is Extra, priced at £10.99 monthly / £31.99 quarterly / £83.99 yearly. Alongside Essential's benefits, that promises "a catalog of up to 400* of the most enjoyable PS4 and PS5 games – including blockbuster hits from our PlayStation Studios catalog and third-party partners."
Finally, we have Premium. Costing subscribers £13.49 monthly / £39.99 quarterly / £99.99 yearly, that adds upon Extra by including an extra 340 games into that catalog, "time-limited game trials," alongside downloadable games from the PS1, PS2, and PSP.
Sony's also making these available via cloud streaming on for Premium subscribers, alongside PS3 and PS4 games. Those can be played on PS4, PS5, and PC platforms. As an aside, countries without the cloud streaming option available will instead receive PS Plus Deluxe at a lower cost.
So, what games can we expect? Speaking on PlayStation Blog, Jim Ryan didn't offer the full list, but he did release this statement:
At launch, we plan to include titles such as Death Stranding, God of War, Marvel’s Spider-Man, Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales, Mortal Kombat 11, and Returnal. We’re working closely with our imaginative developers from PlayStation Studios and third-party partners to include some of the best gaming experiences available with a library that will be regularly refreshed.

Instead, you'll be migrated onto the Premium plan with no increase to current subscription fees. There's no solid release date for this Plus revision beyond June 2022, so we'll keep you updated when we learn more.
