The Last Of Us is one of many PlayStation's exclusives that's received its own adaptation, with the Naughty Dog series receiving an HBO TV series.

While the game franchise's creative head, Neil Druckmann is executive producing the ambitious TV show, it seems like Druckmann will also take the director's chair for several episodes.

The Last Of Us TV Show Adds Naughty Dog's Neil Druckmann As Director

A production listing upon the Director's Guild of Canada seemingly confirms Neil Druckmann as one of the show's directors. Given that Gabby Llanillo, the Naughty Dog Senior QA retweeted the finding, the news is most likely credible.

The co-creative lead of both games will make his directorial live-action debut with the TV show. In addition to creating the show with Chernobyl's Craig Mazin, Druckmann is also credited as a writer on the adaptation.

With Pedro Pascal and Bella Ramsey set to play the game's title characters, each episode will reportedly have a huge budget that topples the likes of Game of Thrones.

Currently in the midst of filming, HBO's adaptation is expected to hit small screens in 2022.
