The Last Of Us Set Photos Provide First Look at the Outbreak

We've had a few rumblings about The Last of US' TV adaptation by HBO. With an ever-expanding cast list including Pedro Pascal as Joel, Bella Ramsay as Ellie, Anna Torv as Tess and more. Alongside HBO, Naughty Dog's Neil Druckmann also revealed the first official image from it last month.

Now, we've had a further look at what to expect. As seen on Twitter, set photos have emerged showing us the cordyceps infection. You can see Pascal holding a prop weapon, alongside Torv, Ramsey and several crew members, though it's hard to tell what's actually going on in this scene.

For the unaware, The Last of Us first released back in 2013, which showed humanity being torn apart by the Cordyceps brain infection. Wiping out 60% of the global population, we found Joel Miller tasked with protecting Ellie, a girl with natural immunity to this infection.

Said to be a more expensive production than HBO's Game of Thrones, there's significant interest in what they'll do with this upcoming TV adaptation. Soon as we know more, we'll keep you informed.
