Assassin’s Creed Valhalla has made $1 billion USD in revenue for Ubisoft, the company’s first game to accomplish this feat. Confirming this news during a conference call, part of this may come down to Valhalla's large updates.

So far, Valhalla's already seen a significant post-launch content push, and it marked the first Assassin’s Creed on new-gen consoles. Valhalla's also getting the Dawn of Ragnarok expansion on March 10, letting players control Odin in a campaign that'll supposedly last 35 hours.

Reports recently emerged that a planned Assassin’s Creed Valhalla expansion could be repurposed into a standalone game, filling a gap in Ubisoft's release schedule. Many have speculated this game, codenamed Rift, could be the last standalone Assassin’s Creed game before Assassin’s Creed Infinity, which is expected to contain live-service elements.

Assassin’s Creed Valhalla is available now on PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X, and PC. You can read our recent preview for the Dawn of Ragnarok DLC here, and we'll keep you informed with further updates as they happen.
