Rise Of The Tomb Raider Exclusivity For Xbox Cost $100 Million

Fabien Rossini worked across various Square Enix departments and in doing so, he negotiated the Tomb Raider deal with Microsoft.

As discovered by Timur222 on Rossini's LinkedIn page, the businessman was involved in:

Building strategic partnerships with third parties, including negotiating $100m Tomb Raider exclusivity deal with Microsoft.

It can be assumed that this deal refers to making Rise of the Tomb Raider exclusive to Microsoft's Xbox One and Xbox 360 for a whole year.

Rossini's other ventures also reveal more detail about the inner workings at Square Enix, including the development of Deus Ex Mankind Divided DLC which generated over $15 million in revenue.

While another Tomb Raider game is yet to be announced, Lara Croft will be getting her own Netflix anime show.
