Are Sea Of Thieves Servers Down?

Season 3 of Sea of Thieves is nearly upon us, promising a new Plunder Pass and content to earn - as well as a huge Pirates of the Caribbean crossover event.

The popular pirate game is set for a big 2021, as it switches to seasonal content as opposed to monthly tweaks and updates.

With the massive update looming, players jumping back into the game may find themselves anchored by some server downtime.

Here's when the game will be going offline.

Sea of Thieves Server Downtime Schedule

The official Sea of Thieves Twitter account has posted an update on when the game will be going offline.

The tweet reads as follows: 

Attention pirates! The Sea of Thieves servers will be offline from approximately 10am BST tomorrow, Tuesday 22nd, as new threats to the pirate's life set their machinations into motion...

As for how long the downtime will be, that's anyone's guess. The game has had some lengthy update periods before, but we'll soon find out. In fact, here's all we know about the new content's launch time.

They have not commented on how long downtime is going to take, but we can assume it will take a few hours.
