New reports have emerged suggesting the next BioShock game is going through development issues. With a BioShock movie in development, one would hope the new BioShock game is progressing well, but that doesn’t appear to be the case.

Coming from Oops Leaks, this report claims that 2K has lost around 40 employees working on this new title, some of whom were lead developers. Allegedly, some were fired and others left on their own, though Oops Leaks claims that it’s less “development hell” and more “slight restructuring.”

No release date for the new BioShock game has been confirmed, though Oops Leaks claims Take-Two Interactive are planning to launch it by the end of 2024. 2K games and Take-Two Interactive have not commented on this right now, so take this with a pinch of salt.

Fans itching for BioShock can buy the BioShock Collection on PS4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PC. Players can also buy each title - BioShock, BioShock 2, and BioShock Infinite - separately on PS4, PS3, Xbox One, Xbox 360, Nintendo Switch, and PC.
