A Metal Gear Solid collection bundling the first four mainline games could be coming to PlayStation 5 this year, according to a post on 4Chan.

While we're sure we don't have to tell you that leaks such as these are often lacking in credibility, it's worth reiterating that you'll need more than a pinch of salt for this one – but if it's true, it could be quite the deal.

According to the rumour, the bundle will include Metal Gear Solid: Twin Snakes, Metal Gear Solid 2: Sons of Liberty, Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater, and Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots.

If you're not aware, Twin Snakes is the Gamecube version of the first Metal Gear Solid game.

The leak does suggest that the bundle will be purchasable in two parts – one with the first three games, and one with Guns of the Patriots (which remains a PS3 exclusive to this day) separate.

Peace Walker has not been included, according to the post.

YouTube creator and podcaster Karak from ACG Gaming reported that the Metal Gear licence on the HAM Radio Podcast that his sources have suggested that the IP could be available for licensing (thanks, PSU).

Karak noted it was the same source that had confirmed Deathloop's delay and other information, suggesting the source was trusted by him.
