Nintendo has announced that The Legend of Zelda: Majora’s Mask is coming to the Nintendo Switch Online (NSO) Expansion Pack next week, on February 25. Following the release of beloved platformer Banjo-Kazooie, Nintendo's continuing to release their greatest N64 hits on the service.

First released back in 2000, Majora’s Mask acts as a direct sequel to The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time. Featuring a unique time travel gimmick, Link’s progress would reset every three days if he doesn’t stop Skull Kid in time. Much like its predecessor, Majora's Mask also released to critical acclaim, praised for its darker elements.

Now that we have a solid release date on Majora's Mask, fans can get ready for the story by beating Ocarina of Time, which is already available via the NSO Expansion Pass. Unfortunately, launch dates haven't been consistent for these NSO game releases, so we won't know what the next big N64 title will be until Nintendo announces it.

At the least, fans won't have a long wait to get their hands on The Legend of Zelda: Majora’s Mask. If you wanted to play it sooner, it's also available as a separate purchase on the Wii U's Virtual Console, while a 3DS remake released back in 2015.
