Metroid Dread's Mercury Stream Are Developing a 'Dark Fantasy' RPG

Following the success of Metroid Dread last October, developer Mercury Stream has confirmed they're working on a third-person action RPG, set within "a dark fantasy world."

Announced through a press release, they'll be partnering with publisher 505 Games, best known for publishing 2019 critically-acclaimed action game Control. Digital Bros, 505's parent company, made the announcement, confirming a working title of 'Project Iron.'

Part of this official press release confirms:

“We are thrilled to work with the team at MercurySteam, a proven studio that over the years has created numerous phenomenal IPs – including the recent hit release Metroid Dread in partnership with Nintendo,” explained co-CEOs of Digital Bros. Group Raffi and Rami Galante. “With MercurySteam’s creative vision and talent and 505 Games' extensive experience, gamers can expect a high-quality, captivating and engaging videogame.”
