Guardians of the Galaxy: All Outfit Locations

Marvel's Guardians of the Galaxy lets you play through a brand new story featuring the misfit heroes-for-hire and puts you in charge as Star-Lord. Throughout the game you will be able to collect a bundle of outfits that you can equip to them but they can be a little bit hard to find. We're here to guide you through all outfit locations, so that you can customise your team!

Chapter One

Rocket - Guardians of the Galaxy (2014)

When you're exploring with Rocket and Groot, you will go down a slope to an area that looks like this:

Rocket will go down the hatch on the left and you need to start walking to the right. Stop walking when you see this to your right:

Walk out onto this ledge then look down to your left. You should see this:

Jump down here carefully and then head inside the opening. The outfit box will be in the corner at the back of this area.

Groot - Guardians of the Galaxy (2014)

After Groot meets back up with you and Rocket, you will be in an area that looks like this:

Look to your right and you should see this:

Walk through the small opening and the outfit will be on your left.

Chapter Two

Star-Lord - Nova-Lord

When you're going through the ship with Cadet Gold, you'll help her block a fire with a container. You will then see an area that looks like this:

Head through that small opening under the pipes and walk to the rear of the space. You will need to head through a narrow opening in the pipes to do so but once you do this, the outfit will come into view.

Chapter Three

Gamora - Guardians of the Galaxy (2014)

When you get to the area in the chapter that looks like the image below, you need to stop walking.

Walk to your right until you see this plant:

Follow the path from this plant and you'll eventually see an opening on your left. Head through the opening and follow the path until it takes you to a cave. At the back of the cave, you will see a growth covering an opening. The growth can only be destroyed by using the rapid cooldown on your Blasters.

Destroy this growth and head through the cleared opening. It will take you to the next area of the cave. In here, you'll need to fight off the jelly cube enemies. To defeat them, destroy the jelly bits then destroy their centres but you need to destroy the centre quickly or the jelly will re-grow.

When you've taken care of the enemies, you'll find that there is another opening at the back of the cave that is covered in a growth. Shoot the growth to destroy it and head through the opening. When you're through the opening, jump across the hole to the ledge on the other side.

On the other side, you will need to head through the narrow opening in the wall.

When you're through the narrow opening, climb upwards and the outfit box will be on your right.

Groot - Five Horsemen of the Apocalypse

After fighting the two blue tentacled monsters and you collect the cage, you will head to an area that looks like this:

Get Groot to build you a bridge across this area. Once you're over the bridge, walk across to your left and climb up the rock until you come across an opening. Destroy the growths covering it.

Head inside here and you will see a geyser on your left. Equip your Ice blaster ability and shoot the geyser to freeze it. When it's frozen, it will create a platform that you can jump up to and stand on. Use this to climb up to the next area.

When you're at the area in the image below, the outfit will be around the corner on your right near the edge of the cliff.

Chapter Four

Rocket - Five Horsemen of the Apocalypse

If you sell Groot to Lady Hellbender, you will need to rescue him by breaking into her throne room later on. After you infiltrate the throne room you will head down an elevator to another area filled with sleeping guards. Carefully take the path to your right, you will need to jump over a wooden table without bottles on it to continue on this path.

Keep following the path without waking any of the guards up and you will eventually come to a gap between some stacked crates.

Head through this opening and the outfit box will be on your right.

Drax - Guardians of the Galaxy (2014)

If you sell Groot to Lady Hellbender and do it successfully, you will need to infiltrate her throne room to get Groot back later on. When Rocket hacks the door and you enter the throne room, follow the path on your right all the way around to the far side of the room.

Eventually, you should come across the purple outfit box and all you have to do is interact with it to get the outfit.

Chapter Five

Drax - Nova Corps

When you first need to re-route power at the beginning of the chapter, flip the first switch then follow where it leads. Flip the next switch and this will re-route the power to a door. The open door should reveal a room that looks like this:

As you walk into the room, the outfit box will be on your left straight away.

Groot - Nova Corps

When you reach the room that looks like the image below, do not climb up the platform in the center.

Head straight to the back of this room until you hit the locked door. From here, the outfit box will be on your right.

Chapter Six

Star-Lord - Guardians of the Galaxy 2014

Halfway through the market on Knowhere, Gamora and Drax will leave you on your own. Keep heading for Cosmo's Tower until you come to a large pink tree. Near the steps leading up to this pink tree will be a couple of children playing. Behind them is a railing and a few large pipes. Jump the railing and land on the pipes. Use them to walk underneath the stairs and the outfit box will be there.

Chapter Seven

Rocket - Nova Corps

You will find this outfit when you're on Hala's Hope after you activate the elevator for the first time and take out the wave of enemies when you need to re-direct the power sources for Rocket.

When you get to this point in the mission, Rocket will open the doors for you and you need to head into the room that looks like this:

There is a small panel on the floor that you can instruct Groot to lift up to take you to the raised platform, just make sure you're standing on it.

When you're on the raised platform, you need to head through the small hatch in the wall. When you get to the other side you will be on another raised platform in a large room.

Look to your left and you should see a power circuit that you need to shoot with the Lightning Element in your Blaster (use Peter's Visor to scan the area if you're not sure).

When you've found it, you need to shoot the switch that is pointing towards the wall. Once you shoot this, it should open a door.

Jump down off of the platform but jump again just before hitting the ground or you'll lose health upon impact. When you're on the lower level, look to your right and you should see an open doorway that leads into a smaller room.

Head into here and on your right you should see a small purple box. Head to this and interact with it to get the Nova Corps Outfit.

Gamora - Nova Corps

When you come to a large set of steps that lead down, keep following them down and you should end up at some electrified water. When you are here, look around until you see a switch on the wall (use your visor to help you). After you locate it, equip the electric element on your blasters and shoot at the switch to trigger it.

Once the power has been removed from the water, look at the far wall and you should see some large pipes. Ask Gamora to slice them. Once she does, step through the new opening and take the outfit box.

Chapter Eight

Star-Lord - Bad-Lord

After you go down the shaft of what Rocket initially thinks is warp coolant, stop instantly. Equip your visor and look to the right, you should see a large object that Drax can move.

Look back to where you exited the shaft and look up, you should see that there is a small area. Ask Drax to move the large object and place it directly underneath the entrance to that small area.

All you need to do is climb up there, when you reach the area the purple outfit box will be almost directly in front of you. Interact with it to collect the outfit.

Drax - Cage Match

When you finish fighting your way through the floating platforms, you will end up in a circular room within a tower. Turn around and search the edges of this room until you find the purple outfit box.

Chapter Ten

Gamora - Five Horsemen of the Apocalypse

When you first start to explore the cave on Lamentis, you will come to an area that looks like this:

To your right, there will be a waterfall. Walk to and through this waterfall to find a cave hidden behind it. The outfit box will be sitting inside of this cave.

Rocket - Hero of Halfworld

While exploring the cave on Lamentis, you will come across some new large creatures in the area that looks like this:

Deal with the new creatures then walk to the far side of the area until you see this:

From here, look to your right and you should see this:

There is a small opening here (scan with your visor if you're unsure) and you need to ask Rocket to climb into it. He will then use his explosives to blow a hole in the wall to your right. The new opening should look like this:

You need to head through the narrow gap and this will lead you to another part of the cave that is filled with toxic gas. You will need to use your Ice ability to freeze the holes the gas is coming through before you can continue.

Once it's safe, you need to jump across the gap to get to the other side and you should find that there is a platform that Groot can raise. Stand on this and ask him to raise you up. Once he has lifted you on the platform, you should see another opening.

Head out here and climb up to then follow the path to your right. At the end of this ledge, turn right and climb up again. Then, make your way across the narrow ledge and the outfit box will be on the other side.

Groot - Annihilation: Conquest Suit

When you're exploring the cave on Lamentis, you will fall down a dark hole and Groot will reveal his illumination ability. Follow Groot through the cave until you come to this area:

From here, walk to your right (don't worry as Groot will automatically follow you). Keep following the path to the right until you come across an opening on your right:

Walk through this opening and stop when you reach the edge of the cliff. Turn to your right again and you should see an opening with purple light coming out of it.

Head through here and you will find the outfit box.

Chapter Twelve

Drax - Thanos Imperative

After you exit the Milano and defeat the first wave of enemies, look around you until you see this:

Get Drax to pull out the yellow bit (scan it with your visor if it doesn't work the first time). Once he's pulled it out, climb up it then run and jump across to the next platform. The purple outfit box will be directly in front of you and all you have to do is interact with it

How To Find the Smuggler Outfit

After you fight off a wave of enemies in the Market on Knowhere, keep heading forward but stop when you can see this:

Rocket and Gamora should be standing there as indicators. When you're here, look to the right and you should see this:

Equip your Wind element on your Blasters and use it to pull that wall down. Behind the wall will be the purple outfit box. Be careful when you interact with it as the surrounding flames can damage your health.

Groot - Impaler

Head to this area in the chapter:

Walk to where Groot is standing slightly off to the left. Across from you, you should see this:

Use the Wind element on your Blasters to pull down the first part of this obstacle, then you can ask Groot to build you a bridge so you can get across. When you cross it, Rocket will come with you.

You need to follow the path around and you should see that you're being blocked by a malfunctioning door. To fix it, shoot the malfunctioning part above the door with a normal Blaster shot and when the panel comes off, shoot it again with an electric shot.

The door will then open and you can head into the next room. When you're in the room, look around until you see another smaller malfunctioning part on your left. Shoot this then ask Rocket to head through it.

Rocket will then disable the electrical current across the middle of the room and you can now walk across to join him. When you're facing Rocket, stop and look to your right out at Knowhere.

The purple outfit box should be against the railings. All you need to do is interact with it to pick up the outfit.

Gamora - Casual Kill

After you fight off more enemies in Knowhere, close to Cosmo's Tower, you'll need to get Drax to collapse the floor to continue. Once he's collapsed the floor and you've made your way down, you need to stop instantly. You need to turn around and look back to the ramp that Drax made by collapsing the floor, you should see a small opening on the right of it.

Head through this small opening and as soon as you emerge on the other side, the purple outfit box will be directly in front of you.

Star-Lord - Apocalypse-Lord

After you free Cosmo and battle enemies on leftover brain tissue, you'll need to get Drax to move a large container to help you climb onto a platform to continue through the level. After you climb up to the platform, look around and you should see this:

From here, head around to your right and you should see an anchor wall for Gamora.

Get her to anchor onto the wall then you need to jump up to her and get her to throw you to the platform on your right. Directly ahead of you on the platform will be the purple outfit box.

Chapter Thirteen

Gamora - Black Vortex

After defeating the monstrous duo at the beginning of the chapter, look around the area until you see this:

You will see an anchor wall for Gamora. Ask her to anchor to the wall and then you need to jump up to her to get her to pull you up to reach the top of that section. When you're up here, you should see the purple outfit box directly across from you.

Groot - Five O’Clock Sprouts

After you fight the snake-like alien worms, Groot will make a bridge that you cross and then you will slowly move across a narrow ledge to reach the opening of a cave.

At the very beginning of this cave, head to your right, and the purple outfit box will be instantly visible.

Star-Lord - War-Lord

After your Blasters evolve their Plasma element skill, you will use the Plasma to melt various things within a cave so you can continue making your way through it. You'll reach a cave area that looks like this:

When you're here, look up above the mud pool and melt the two pieces in the ceiling with your Plasma element.

This will then give you a platform on the mud. Stand on it and ask Groot to raise you up on it. When he has done this, you should see a small ledge with the purple outfit box on it.

Step off of the platform and interact with the box to get it.

Rocket - The Stinger

After you exit a cave and you try to communicate with a creature, you will come across a whole area that looks a lot like a forest. In this area, there are toxic plants that have corrosive spores.

You need to head directly across here to the back of the area (destroy the plants with Plasma Blasts to make it there safely. You will find the outfit box at the rear of the area on a slightly elevated ledge.

Drax - Katathian Monk

After meeting the survivor, you go down a massive icy slide. When you reach the bottom of the slide, you will find yourself in this area:

Head up the stepped rocks on your left, you can use Plasma Blasts to destroy the toxic plants. Once you reach the top of the steps the purple outfit box will be directly in front of you.

Chapter Fourteen

The Golden Guardians

You will unlock the Golden Guardians outfit set for all of the Guardians once you reach chapter fourteen. The outfits are teased through the information found in Rocket's room on The Milano.

Star-Lord - Team-Lord

Halfway down the fan tunnel, you'll pull up a single panel to stand behind. From here you need to look to your left and you should see this:

Climb up this and if the fan isn't working, turn around and jump to the panel hanging from the ceiling. Use your Wind Blaster ability to pull up the panel on the platform and stand behind it while you wait for the fan to stop again.

While you wait for the fan to stop, look to your right and you'll see the platform hanging from the ceiling that has the purple outfit box on it.

When the fan stops, jump and use your jet boost to get you across to the platform. The shields at the end of this platform are already up so they will protect you once you're there.

Drax - Five Horsemen of the Apocalypse

During one of the parts out in space, you will come across an area that looks like this:

From here, look to your right and you should see the outfit box sitting on top of a raised platform. Jump over to this area then look to your right again, you should see a piece of wall that can be melted using your Plasma ability.

Melt it and then follow the path around to your left where you should see this:

Climb up here and the outfit box will be in front of you.

Gamora - Chosen Daughter Outfit

In the chapter, you will reach a point where you'll need to use the Ice ability from your Blasters to freeze a geyser to get across to the next platform. It will look like this:

Freeze the geyser and stand on it, then look to your left. You should see another geyser beginning to erupt and you need to freeze this too. Jump across to the solid platform then walk across it until you can jump across to the second frozen geyser.

From the second geyser, look around until you see two smaller geysers beginning to erupt and you need to freeze these too.

Once they are frozen, use them as platforms to get across to the small opening in the wall. When you're here, head through the small opening and you will come to a room that is filled with components. The outfit box will be on the right-hand side of the room.

New Game Plus Outfits

When you complete the game story once, you will be able to start again in a New Game Plus save file. If you do this, you will unlock the following outfits for Star-Lord:

• Sleek-Lord
• Space-Lord

What Are Outfits?

Outfits are cosmetic skins that you can apply to any of the 5 Guardians but you need to collect them throughout each chapter. They will not always be easy to find so you will need to explore each area but they're worth finding as they can make your team look extremely cool. Many of the outfits have taken inspiration from different Marvel stories featuring the Guardians.

How To Equip Outfits

To equip any of the outfits that you have found, you will need to open up the Guardians Menu. In the menu, you need to highlight which Guardian you want to select the outfit for and then click the appropriate control for bringing up the outfits. This will vary on each platform so you should go to your controls option on your pause menu to see which control it is.

When you've picked the Guardian, you will be taken to the outfits menu which will look like this:

You will then be able to see all of the outfits that you have and you can simply click on which one you want to equip. Also, when you highlight an outfit you will be given a little comment on it from your chosen Guardian too.

The outfits in Marvel's Guardians of the Galaxy feature many references that a lot of Marvel fans will enjoy.
