Metroid Prime: Trilogy on Switch has been a longstanding rumour. Ever since Nintendo announced Metroid Prime 4 at E3 2017, fans have speculated that a port of Metroid Prime: Trilogy - which compiled each main entry into one package on the Wii - could see a return.
Since then, we've seen no end of rumours that it's eventually coming, with some believing Nintendo are holding it back until Prime 4's nearly complete, though we've got Metroid Dread to come first. In the meantime, here's everything we've heard about this rumoured Trilogy port.

Metroid Prime Remaster Rumoured For A Switch Release - September 23rd, 2021
As claimed by regular Nintendo insider, Emily Rogers, Metroid Prime 1 is reportedly being worked on by Nintendo to coincide with the game's 20th anniversary.
Metroid Prime Trilogy Included "Hundreds" Of Text Edits To Harmonize The Canon - September 8th, 2021
Former Retro Studios lead designer Mike Wikan offered new details about Trilogy's original port, explaining Nintendo's wider involvement. Advising us that "hundreds and hundreds and hundreds" of text edits were made to Trilogy, this was done to ensure it fit within Metroid's universe.
Rumour: Metroid Prime: Trilogy Switch Port Is Done, Awaiting Prime 4's Release - July 18th, 2021
Speaking during a Giant Bomb show, VentureBeat's Jeff Grubb claimed Nintendo was holding off the Trilogy's release for several reasons. One was due to restricted quality assurance resources during the ongoing global pandemic, while another is to align it with Metroid Prime 4's release.
Metroid Prime: Trilogy - Release Date
At this time, we don't know. Reports suggest it'd precede Metroid Prime 4's release, potentially targeting a 2022 release date, but that remains unconfirmed. If we get an official confirmation, we'll keep you informed.
Metroid Prime: Trilogy - Would This Include The DS Games?
According to previous reports, that's unlikely. Originally, Metroid Prime: Trilogy included the three main entries - Metroid Prime, Prime 2: Echoes, and Prime 3: Corruption - but didn't feature the two DS entries, Hunters and Pinball. While Pinball can easily be dismissed as a spin-off, Hunters took place between Prime and Prime 2: Echoes.
Investigating a mysterious message that originated from the Alimbic Cluster, Hunters put us up against other bounty hunters, and Nintendo's only ever re-released it via the Wii U Virtual Console. Adapting the DS control scheme may be tricky, so it seems unlikely.
