We've not seen a new main Castlevania game since 2014's Lords of Shadow 2, but in Konami's absence, the Netflix adaptation has gone down tremendously well. Now approaching its fourth (and final) season on May 13, we've been given a fresh peak at what to expect.

We've got an official synopsis for Season 4, with Netflix confirming: "Wallachia collapses into chaos as factions clash: some attempting to take control, others attempting to bring Dracula back from the dead. Nobody is who they seem, and nobody can be trusted. These are the end times."

Adding to this, they also revealed eight new screenshots across Twitter, offering a glimpse of what to expect and you can find that thread below. Notably, you can see the head of the Council of Sisters, Carmiilla, holding a blood-red dagger, but at whose throat remains unclear. Alucard, Trevor, and Sypha are also primed for battle.

While this might be the end of Castlevania's Netflix run, a Castlevania spin-off has been separately rumored, so fans still have more to come. Considering Castlevania's main entries usually shift between different Belmonts, it seems likely we'll see the clan's adventures continue.
