Will Netflix make Castlevania season 5? The answer is yes. The Castlevania Netflix series has a fair bit of room for expansion, and Netflix confirmed during GeekedWeek that season 5 is coming as a spin-off.

The Castlevania season 4 ending leaves no doubt this is where Alucard, Trevor, and Sypha’s story ends, though of course, we won’t spoil it here. Netflix also confirmed it has no plans for resurrecting the series to continue Trevor’s story. However, that’s not the stake in the heart it might sound like.

Castlevania Season 5 Latest News

June 11 - Geeked Week

Netflix announced Castlevania season 5 as part of GeekedWeek, revealing a new image and a brief plot summary.

Castlevania Season 5 Release Date

Netflix only said it's in the works so far and offered no indication of when the release date might be.

Castlevania Season 5 Plot

Season 5 will follow Maria Renard and Richter Belmont, descendent of Sypha and Trevor Belmont. It opens some intriguing possibilities for the show, set to take place during the French Revolution in the 1790s. In Castlevania lore, Richter disappears in the 1790s for unknown reasons, and Maria's story intertwines with Alucard's as the son of Dracula struggles against his heritage.

Alucard is the original series’ anchor, one of a few characters present in the Castlevania games as well. While the original Castlevania series certainly didn't follow the (admittedly scant) plot in the games, it seems as if Castlevania season 5 will at least draw some inspiration from them.
