Most battle royale games these days have NPCs spread across the map to help players with quests and grindable challenges. Activision did the same when they added a few NPCs all around the Blackout map.

Players will have to visit these NPCs and take specific tasks from them in order to progress quickly. These challenges are a part of the Counterattack event featured in Season 8. These NPCs are popular COD characters who will provide team tasks and individual tasks to players upon interaction.

COD: Mobile Counterattack Event Adds NPC Operators In Blackout BR Map

As mentioned above, this is the first time NPCs or Operators have been added to the map as an interactive feature for players. The battle royale community is exceedingly satisfied with these changes.

In COD: Mobile's new Blackout BR map, players will get to see a yellow diamond symbol on the mini-map every time they land at a location near NPC Operators. Once you are in their vicinity, the yellow light will start flickering to help you locate the NPC.

Each of these NPCs will give you tasks that need to be completed as soon as possible. Usually, these tasks are pretty straightforward and can be completed throughout the course of one BR match.

There are two formats for these tasks: Team task (TT) denotes that teammates can contribute to the quest, while Individual Task (IT) indicates that players need to complete this duty alone.

For some of these tasks, you will have to drive vehicles, bring utilities to the NPC, and fly through objectives. Head over to BR settings and make sure to recheck all the vehicular controls before taking a challenge from these Operators.

1. Captain Price

Location: Train Station

(IT) Task: Drag Race. Players will have to drive a muscle car towards the provided objective while keeping the vehicle's health under 80%.

2. Soap

Location: Practice Range

(TT) Task: Kill three enemies with Sniper Rifles. Eliminations by a teammate will count towards the completion of the task.

3. Urban Tracker

Location: Practice Range

(IT) Task: Mark five supply boxes. These are found in red, green, and silver.

4. Domino

Location: Fracking Tower

(TT) Task: Kill three enemies with Marksman rifles. Eliminations by a teammate will count towards the completion of the task.

5. Charly

(TT) Location: Array

Task: Kill three enemies with Shotguns. Eliminations by a teammate will count towards the completion of the task.

6. Manta Ray

Location: Cargo Docks

(IT) Task: Fly through three objectives in succession through the ejection device.

7. Ghost

Location: Construction Site

Task: Bring Merc 5 these supplies: one small armour repair, one full armour repair, 20 rounds of shotgun ammo, and 20 rounds of sniper ammo.

12. Outrider

Location: Turbines

(IT) Task: Drag Race Players will have to drive a muscle car towards the provided objective while keeping the vehicle's health under 80%.

13. Scylla

(IT) Location: Rivertown

Task: Bring Scylla these supplies: two full armour repairs, 60 rounds of heavy ammo, and 60 rounds of light ammo.
