Genshin Impact players on PlayStation have discovered that they can't claim rewards from the Battle Pass through other platforms, following Update 2.4. However, this cross-platform issue doesn't appear to be affecting PC and mobile users.

As seen on @WorldOfTeyvat's Twitter post, when trying to claim rewards, the game responds with "The BP was purchased via the 'PlayStation Store. Claim it via the PlayStation Network" and blocks the PlayStation players from doing so. While players can return to their PS4 and PS5 to claim them, it's a sudden change that could inconvenience some players.

Genshin Impact's Update 2.4 Blocks Battle Pass Cross-Save Support for PlayStation Users

According to Fanbyte's Imran Khan (thanks IGN), PlayStation already gets their cut from the Battle Pass purchase when it's bought through the PlayStation store. As such, Khan sees this feature as "pointless" because Sony's already got their money, unnecessarily forcing players to stay on the PlayStation console and not the platform they'd prefer at the time.

Mihoyo has yet to confirm on their official Twitter page and Hoyolab if this feature will be changed anytime soon, but we'll keep you informed if anything changes.
