Yu-Gi-Oh! Master Duel will be getting its first event soon, called the XYZ Festival and it will be taking place next week, from February 17 to February 24. It’s only been a month since Yu-Gi-Oh! Master Duel launched on systems everywhere so seeing the XYZ Festival announced this quickly shows how much of a success the game has been.

During the XYZ Festival, Yu-Gi-Oh! Master Duel players will have to battle each other for medals, which can be exchanged for rewards after winning them. While winning is the obvious way to make the most medals in the XYZ Festival, Master Duel players can also get them through losses or draws.

According to VG247, players that use their own decks in Yu-Gi-Oh! Master Duel will get double the medals, while those that are using the pre-built ones from the game won’t get as much. It seems like now is the best time to start earning those cards, maybe even spending real money to get the best ones to stay ahead.

Yu-Gi-Oh! Master Duel is now available as a Free-to-Play download on the PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X, Nintendo Switch, PC, and mobile devices.
