Dragon Ball Legends Tier List - Best Characters

March 31, 2022: We added ULTRA Super Gogeta to the Dragon Ball Legends tier list.

The Dragon Ball Legends tier list is a long and confusing spectacle. As a franchise that's been around for decades, it has become synonymous with inflated character rosters, and the latest mobile game in the series is no different. Each major character goes through a lot of transformations and upgrades across the various in-game sagas and storylines.

With each new iteration being introduced as a brand-new unit, it's no surprise that Dragon Ball Legends is now filled to the brim with alts and variations of your favourite Z warriors and interstellar supervillains. And we're going to attempt to stuff them all into a tier list.

It may be a tough pill to swallow for hardcore Dragon Ball fans, but the Dragon Ball Legends tier list doesn't take canon into consideration. Dragon Ball Legends makes a case for planned obsolesces. Power creep sets in big time, making older units quickly fall by the wayside as upgrades, reworks, and newer gacha characters make their debut.

According to the tier list above, the cowardly Yajirobe ranks higher than SP Legendary Super Saiyan Broly. Heck, even most early Dragon Ball characters, including the useless Young Bulma and Yamcha before his brief Z Warrior days, even outrank Shenron.

In this world, even the Saibamen and Frieza's henchmen are to be feared on the battlefield. They all have their uses, but it's generally the newer characters that hog the spotlight until something even fresher comes along.

Characters below the top three tiers aren't generally worth investing in. They'll get you through some early content, but once you start going up against proper players, their lacking skillsets will prove next to useless against most teams. As new characters are introduced, new and powerful team synergies arrive alongside them.

Knowing how to perform a Dragon Ball Legends reroll can get characters high on the Dragon Ball Legends tier list.

How To Perform a Dragon Ball Legends Reroll

  • Create your account
  • Skip through the tutorial text and complete the battles
  • Complete the tutorial summon
  • Name your account
  • Claim the 'New Player' rewards
  • Open the 'Summon' menu
  • Tab down on the 'Ticket' tab
  • Pull in the 'Legends Welcome' banner
  • Swipe down again and perform a ten-pull in the 'Legends Welcome' banner
  • Start a fresh account if you don't get characters high on the Dragon Ball Legends tier list

A Dragon Ball Legends reroll is a good option for those just getting started in the game. Now a few years old, it can be incredibly difficult for new players to quickly compete with the veterans. By looking out for the very best units on the Dragon Ball Legends tier list and simply creating a new account if you don't get one or two in the first few free pulls, you can ensure you start the game with some top-tier characters, limiting the time it takes to enjoy its competitive components.

Right now, you'll get two chances to do this: once with a guaranteed SR unit, and again with a free ten-pull summon with rewards obtained by completing the tutorial. If you don't get enough top-tier units to form a workable team, delete your account and start again until you do.

How Can I Get More Pulls in Dragon Ball Legends?

Assuming you've played enough to have exhausted all the free pulls the game dishes out, your best chance of getting more free Dragon Ball Legends pulls is to wait for the upcoming Legends Festival event. Over the course of November, a retweet campaign will determine just how many free pulls and materials each player gets.
