The latest AR mobile game from Niantic, simply titled Peridot, is due to land very soon, and given the company's track record with promo codes, we expect Peridot codes to land alongside it. This adorable new game tasks you with recruiting fluffy friends to walk around with — no Pokémon this time — and codes are a great way to help speed up your progress.
This Peridot codes guide will go through all the promo codes you can expect to redeem once the game releases, as well as what they'll unlock. Since Peridot codes don't seem to exist just yet, it's hard to say exactly how you'll use them.
However, developer Niantic isn't averse to the odd freebie or two, as seen through Pokémon GO promo codes. Therefore, we've compiled some preliminary instructions below, so you can see how Peridot code redemption might go.
- Boot up the Peridot app.
- Hit the Shop icon.
- Scroll to the bottom, and type a code into the text box.
- Hit Redeem!
Of course, we'll update those instructions once the game is live, and we know exactly how you go about claiming your rewards.
What are Peridot codes?
While they aren't confirmed just yet, we expect Peridot codes to be coupons you can type in for some free in-game items and cosmetics to help in your game.
In the early stages of the game's life, we expect Peridot codes to provide resources like coins and other upgrade currencies. It's the perfect incentive to get players into the experience early on, giving the more-attentive players a boost others might miss out on. It's a good word-of-mouth tactic as well, which could help the game get more popular over time.
