Following its launch last week, God of War's PC port has topped the global sales chart on Steam. Becoming the best-selling game on the platform last week, that's happened just four days after a highly anticipated launch.

As per VGC, SteamDB shows the game hit around 60k concurrent players on the day of release, peaking at over 73k since then. God of War on PC also beat sales made by another newly-released PC port, Monster Hunter Rise. That pushed Capcom's juggernaut into the number 2 spot.

By achieving this feat, God of War has become Sony's most successful PC debut so far, seeing critical acclaim for its new features and beating previous records set by Horizon Zero Dawn's PC port. When that first released on Steam, Horizon peaked at 56,557 concurrent players last 2020.

It's also worth noting that these figures presented above for God of War are only from Steam, which isn't the only place it released on PC. It's also available through the Epic Games Store, and those figures have yet to be released. Make sure to follow us for more gaming news and updates as it happens.
